What Can Be Used Against You in a Child Custody Battle?

If your children live with you and your partner, it is very important to understand what can be used against you in a child custody battle. This can include things like not attending important events or not paying child support. These can be used against you to show a judge that you are unable to take care of your kids. You should also make an effort to spend time with your children even when you are not required to. This way, you can show the judge that you are committed to parenting your children.

Social media posts can also be used against you in a custody battle. You must be very careful about what you post on social media. You should avoid posting pictures or comments about your ex-spouse and children. Any negative comments can be used against you and be used as evidence in court.

If you suddenly move out of state and stop paying child support, you can be accused of being uncooperative and lose your custody battle. If your ex is arguing for primary custody, your move may be interpreted by the court as an attempt to deny the other parent their child’s time with their child. If this is the case, you may also be required to pay for travel expenses incurred by the other parent. This could be a big problem if you have to travel for your child.

You must also keep your emotions under control. If you feel that your ex is causing you stress, you should try to keep your cool. It can be therapeutic to discuss the children and your ex, but if you are not careful, it can hurt your case. If you’re not sure how to handle your emotions, it’s best to hire an experienced family law attorney to handle the communication for you leakbio.
