Cohen Milstein Retaining a Reputation For Winning Complex Litigation

Cohen Milstein is one of the nation’s premier plaintiffs’ litigation firms. With over 90 attorneys in six offices nationwide, it has earned a reputation for winning complex litigation. Its work includes antitrust, consumer protection, securities litigation, and managed care abuse. It also represents individuals, whistleblowers, public entities, and other institutions.

Cohen Milstein is particularly renowned for its work in class action litigation. Its attorneys have helped clients obtain settlements totaling nearly two billion dollars in recent years. For example, in the Flint water litigation, the firm secured a $626 million final court approval. The firm also has successfully led several high-profile toxic tort cases.

Cohen Milstein is a national firm that handles large class action litigation for plaintiffs nationwide. It has offices in Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia. It discovered the breach in January and conducted an investigation. As a result of the investigation, the firm disconnected affected systems from its network and notified affected clients. The firm also reviewed its policies and notified regulators.

The firm’s aggressive plaintiffs’ practice has led to controversy. The firm stands to pocket 27 percent of any monetary damages awarded to plaintiffs. It also stands to recover certain costs, but it does not earn money if the Virgin Islands does not receive a settlement or damages. This practice has prompted criticism from both plaintiffs and Exxon allies, who allege the firm has too much power and authority.
